I dream a place...

i dream a place where you and i
can be the us we want to be,
where that us and ours can be a family;
where that family can be free to be
who they are,
where they are,
without fear of the repercussions,
without being asked why they are.

i dream a place where i can believe,
and you can believe,
and we can believe,
and it doesn't have to be the exact same belief
and it is completely ok.

i dream a place of love
of understanding,
of faith,
of hope,
of living in the now
knowing that the soon to come is nothing to worry about,
and the just past really doesn't matter.

i dream this place for us.
