Of ceramics and classes...

This week has been a busy week. I had 2 midsemesters, one test, and 2 ceramics pieces due. And I got it all done. I still have some back homework to take care of, but that will get done. One of the assignmentst is to go to the Tampabay Museum of Fine Arts and look at some early greek pottery, and then select a piece and write about it. Not a bad assignment at all.

My pottery has been the most fun thing of the week. I finally finished my "plantation house" a hybred of my body and the slave quaters and kitchen section of a Jamaican plantation house. It was very self exploratory. I did my first Raku piece on Friday, and not only did I get it all done within an hour, I only used about a 1/4 lbs. of clay... Which is phenomial for me, considering all my other pieces are 8 lbs. 50 lbs. & 65 lbs. respectively. I also did a painting this week, inspired by my french class and crabes.... I know wierd isn't it. I have gotten rave reviews so far.

Last night, I went to my good friend/sister Lia's 40th birthday bash. There were 11 of us for dinner, and then 5 of us women went to the tattoo parlor [Artistic Armory]. Lia got a new tattoo she designed for herself, Jodi will get her new one later, and Judy, and the rest of us made up the peanut gallery. Oh what a gallery that was, 3 baudy lesbians.... and we were sooooo naughty.
It is a good thing Lia is completely secure in her straightness to survive us. We hung out and then went dancing until 2 in the morning. Man I am beat, but Lia had a blast and that is all that matters.

Sianaro.
